A lot of photography education programs available today help to guide you when you know where you want to go. The Photo Framework was created to bridge the gap for those that know they have a passion for photography, but don’t know how to get from beginner to business owner. You might dream of getting paid to travel around the world taking photos, or shoot backstage at Fashion Week, or experience the energy of photographing sideline in the NFL. Everyone has to start somewhere, and we’re here to help you figure out those first steps to save you time, money, and frustration. It all starts here!

MISSION

We want to help those with creative energy escape the trap of working a 9-5 in corporate America. Our society is full of the best minds, and we believe that everyone deserves to live the life they want to work for. Through The Photo Framework, we aim to guide aspiring photographers from “idea” to “reality”.

Founder | Sara Schmidle

Hi, I’m Sara Schmidle, founder of The Photo Framework. I’ve spent years exploring different areas of photography — from lifestyle and travel to brand and event work — learning firsthand how overwhelming it can be to figure out where to start, what to focus on, and how to turn your passion into a career. I started my career shooting six seasons for the NFL and NHL before leaving to build my own photography business. I now proudly share that I’ve scaled my income 3x, and execute opportunities that now include shooting for brand clients both internationally and in the US.

I created The Photo Framework to help photographers gain clarity, build skills, and take actionable steps toward their creative goals. Whether it’s discovering your niche, refining your style, or learning strategies to work with the clients you love, my mission is to provide the tools, guidance, and insights that make the journey from idea to reality more achievable.
